Happy New Year 2026! In 2025, we produced 20,236 kWh of power compared to our usage of 15,625 kWh. Total production since we first installed solar panels is now over 203 MWh.
Here is our solar production since our first system was installed and usage since I began tracking it in 2019:
203 MWh represents 203,000 pounds of coal or 203,000 cubic ft. of natural gas if the power came from either of those sources. If you are considering solar panels, look at this presentation from a friend.
Our usage also includes both our cars. We have not paid for power for 9 years and gas for 7 years!
