Happy New Year 2023! In 2022, we produced 21,721 kWh of power compared to our usage of 14,894 kWh. Total production since we first installed solar panels has now crossed 141 MWh.
Here is our solar production since our first system was installed and usage since I began tracking it in 2019:
141 MWh represents 141,000 pounds of coal or 141,000 cubic ft. of natural gas if the power came from either of those sources. If you are considering solar panels, look at this presentation from a friend.
Our usage also includes both our cars. We have not paid for power for 6 years and gas for 4 years!
