Wachovia about to discontinue One-Stop

I just got a notice when I logged in to Wachovia, that one stop is being discontinued on Aug 22. One-Stop is where you can view all your accounts online in one place. I just called Wachovia customer service to complain and mine was the first complaint that they got. If you dont know what one stop is, it is exactly like Fidelity Full View. Click here for a screenshot.

This service is provided by a company called Yodlee and they do have their own similar free service too at Yodlee Moneycenter. The same service is also offered by many other banks and financial institutions.

Anyway it will probably be a PITA to enter all the information again. If you use one-stop, call Wachovia. If enough people call them, hopefully they will reverse their decision.

I just saw the same message last night and I was pissed! I too have contacted customer service and expressed my dissatisfaction with this decision. Honestly, if it weren’t for having all my accounts on One Stop, I would probably just terminate my accounts with them all together as I no longer live in their service area (moved to Mass. a few years ago) and there goes any convenience factor to make them worth my while.

I really hope they change their mind about this.

I hear you. I already started entering all my information again in TRowePrice Account Minder, which is exactly like One Stop. I was hoping I could do it at Fidelity because they automatically run Morningstar XRay on your non-fidelity investments also. However Fidelity’s Full View is not available through my wife’s Netbenefits account and Fidelity is of no help in telling us why.

What a f*((*&^ pain in the ass this is. . .I really wish I knew why they are cancelling this. . I’ve already sent an email complaining and will call them in the morning. . .glad to see I’m not the only one pissed.

This is the straw that’s going to break my back… I’m leaving Wachovia over this if they go through with it. First the charge for accessing my account through MS Money, and now no more One Stop. I hate you Wachovia; I really do. I’ve already called to complain, and I hope more people do!

    Hi:

I am pissed off too. Can you folks tell me what other options I have ? Who elase proved similar service ?

    Thanks

Similar services are provided by Bank of America, HSBC, Fidelity, T Rowe Price that I know of. I will soon do another post with all the alternatives. The data is supplied by Yodlee so if you don’t want the service to go away, maybe Yodlee Money Center is the way to go.

All these corporations grow too big to understand what the customer wants and thats when they go down. Wachovia will have a similar fate and then they will try to come back – but only too late

  8. WTF ? says:

I too am going to cancel all my accounts (MM,CC,Checking,Savings) if they get rid of the Online One Stop. What could it possibly be, they pay yodlee to manage all the integrations and the site, makes no sense. I will call and complain but its going to be a waste of time.

  9. Will says:

I received the notice too. Thanks to all for the alternatives and since I have accounts at Fidelity and T. Rowe Price and am thinking about opening a new business account I will look BOA.

I am pissed about all the work I put into setting it up and now they pull the rug out from under me. I called and could continue One Stop if I had a brokerage account for ~$85 per year but I have a free brokerage account at Fidelity so I don’t need that.

Again, thank all responder for doing the leg work.

    Cordially,

    Will

I moved my accounts to Wachovia for the main reason to use one stop. I transferred all my banking needs to them. Unless they keep the service I will transfer my accounts to BofA.

I am really mad at Wachovia becuase of this and will never refer anyone to use them.

I don’t bank at BofA, but I have one credit card with them. I just setup all my acccounts on their site and it looks much better than Wachovia’s. Easier to read, and more account options. I added some accounts that never worked on OneStop.
It was a bit of a pain, but now that I’m done, I wish I did it sooner. Thanks for kicking me in the butt Wachovia!

This was my responce via email from Wachovia:

    Dear (name),

Welcome to Wachovia! My name is Sherrick and I am happy to assist you.

We understand that other financial institutions offer this service. We
made this decision after lengthy evaluation of customer access and
demand trends. Those trends showed our customers were not using the
service in large numbers and that it was not meeting their needs. Now we have the opportunity to redirect the resources that currently support
One Stop to other online services that better meet the needs of our
    customers.

We are currently exploring other account aggregation services; however,
we don’t have any immediate plans to replace this service on Online
    Banking.

We apologize for any inconvenience this service discontinuation causes
you. We assure you that this will not affect any existing services you
access on wachovia.com, and we will continue to provide you with
    high-quality products and services.

In effect, I started using Yodlee about 10 days ago, and it has all the same features. You can enroll at:

Best of Luck to us all-

Due to customer service, I moved from BofA to Wachovia several years ago. Customer service with Wachovia is excellent. However, I am willing to put up with bad customer service with BofA in exchange for using the Portfolio feature for free. After all, I only call customer service a few times a year, but I use OneStop EVERY DAY. Unless Wachovia keeps OneStop, I’m off to another bank.

  14. Bruno says:

I am very disappointed too! I wrote Wachovia a message saying that if they take ONESTOP off, I will cancel my accounts with them.
